From card to
Davinci timeline.
Every shoot starts with the same setup: folders, cards, a Davinci project, bins and timelines. Rushwise does all of it for you. You open Davinci and start editing.

You wanted to edit. You are still setting up.
- 01Every new project, the same folders. Footage, Audio, Music, Exports. By hand, again.
- 02Then a new project in Davinci. Make the bins, import the clips, check the frame rate, and build timelines for the selection, the ceremony and the speeches.
- 03Three weddings and two company films later, you are not sure which one is due first.
- 04The couple sends feedback on WhatsApp: "at 2:15 the music is too loud". You type it into Davinci yourself, point by point.
- 05And somewhere on a drive there is a backup. Probably.
None of this is editing. Rushwise does it for you.
Set it up once. Every project after that is ready.
Rushwise follows your work from the card to the delivery. These are the things it does for you.
Categories and folder structures
Make a category for each kind of work: weddings, company films, events. Each one gets its own folder structure and its own delivery time. In the folder structure you decide the folders and subfolders, and where video, audio and photos go.
- Your own folders and subfolders
- Per camera, per shooting day or all together
- A delivery time per category, so every project gets a deadline

New project in seconds. Card in, clips sorted.
Pick a category, type a name, and every folder is there, with the deadline already set. Then click Add media and pick your card. Tell Rushwise once which camera it is from, and it remembers it next time. Every clip goes into the right folder, clips that are already there are skipped, and every copy is checked. The summary tells you when the card can be formatted.
- All project folders at once
- Clips sorted per camera or per shooting day
- Every copy checked before it counts

Your Davinci project, made for you
One click, and Rushwise makes the project in your Project Manager, filed by category and year, with your resolution and frame rate. Bins with your names, the footage already in them. Then your timelines, for example Selection, Ceremony and Speeches, with the clips on them and a colour per camera.
- Project, bins and import in one click
- Timelines with the clips already on them
- A clip colour per camera

Client feedback becomes markers
Paste the message from WhatsApp or mail. Times like 2:15 are recognised, and every point lands on your timeline as a red marker. Tick them off as you go.

Every project, every deadline
See what is overdue, what is due this week and what can wait, as a list or as a timeline. Give a project its own deadline when a client wants a fixed date.
- Work steps tick themselves: transferred, backed up, in Davinci, timelines made, export ready
- A step bar on every project

Click around in Rushwise. Right here.
Open the demo with example projects and try it all: make a project, add a card, put it into Davinci, paste client feedback. Nothing is copied and nothing is saved.
Open the demoThe demo is made for a computer screen.

Four minutes, start to finish.
One shoot, two cameras: from the card to a Davinci project with bins, footage and first timelines.

Hi, I'm Timo. I film weddings and edit everything in Davinci. Between shoots and edits I kept losing track of my own projects, so I built the app I wanted myself. Two years and one rebuild later, that app is Rushwise.
Timo, maker of RushwiseLearn it in 13 short lessons.
Free on YouTube. Every lesson also has its own page with the full walkthrough.
Pay once. Keep it.
- The Rushwise app for Mac, in English and Dutch
- A license for two of your own Macs
- Free updates for version 1
- The user guide (PDF) and the Rushwise Academy
Safe checkout by Gumroad. You get the download and your license key right away.
You need a Mac with Apple silicon or Intel and macOS 15 or newer. The Davinci features need Davinci Resolve Studio.
Good to know.
Is Rushwise a subscription?
No. You pay once and the app is yours. Updates for version 1 are free.
Do I need Davinci Resolve Studio?
For the Davinci features, yes: Rushwise sets up your projects in Davinci Resolve Studio, the paid version (tested with Studio 21). Without Studio, everything else still works: copying cards, your folders, the overview, work steps, client feedback, notes and backups.
Does Rushwise change anything on my card?
No. Rushwise only reads your card. It never writes to it and never deletes anything from it.
On how many Macs can I use it?
One license works on up to two of your own Macs, for example a desktop and a laptop. Getting a new Mac? Reply to your Gumroad receipt and your key is freed up.
Why does my Mac ask before opening it the first time?
Rushwise is not notarized by Apple, so the first time macOS asks you to confirm. Open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. You only do this once, and lesson 1 shows every click.
Is there a Windows version?
Not yet. Rushwise is made for Mac.
